· from GoogleI honestly don’t even know where to start with this experience. In a place like London Bridge, where people often pop in before work or during a quick break to freshen up their haircut, I would expect fast, clean and professional service. Unfortunately, that’s not what I experienced here at all. The whole appointment felt very unprofessional from start to finish. The barber was checking and using his phone throughout the haircut, which immediately made me feel like I wasn’t really a priority while sitting in the chair. The overall atmosphere lacked confidence and professionalism, and it was difficult to trust the process. You can usually tell when someone has experience, confidence and proper flow in what they do. Sadly, that wasn’t the feeling here. What frustrated me even more was the lack of basic care after the haircut. I left covered in tiny hairs and wasn’t properly brushed off or cleaned before leaving. I had to go straight back to the office feeling uncomfortable and covered in hair, which is honestly unacceptable when you’re paying for a professional service. On top of that, only at the very end, when it was time to pay, I was informed that they accept cash only. I have nothing against cash payments at all, but this is something customers should clearly know BEFORE the service starts, especially in a busy area like London Bridge where many people stop by on the way to work and may not carry cash. When I pointed out that this information should be clearly visible outside the shop before entering, I was shown a tiny sticker hidden on the inside corner of the window, which is very easy to miss. That simply doesn’t feel fair or professional. The pricing also felt misleading. The main advertised prices catch your attention, but then additional charges appear later in smaller text for things most people would assume are already included in a standard haircut. Overall, very disappointing experience and definitely not a place I would return to or recommend. Sometimes it’s honestly better to wait an extra day and go to your regular barber than risk an experience like this. Edit after the owner’s response: I find it disappointing that instead of responding professionally to the concerns raised, the owner chose to publicly attack my review history and make sarcastic personal remarks such as “finding inner peace.” That response honestly reinforces my original experience.
2 months agoBooked a birthday treat for my husband- a full package. He's a wheelchair user but the barber, Kai, was happy to help me get him into the chair. Great service and he made the birthday special. Hubby really enjoyed it. Recommend if you need accessible shop and made a great treat
5 months agoJust had the best haircut from Eko at Barber Chop since I moved to London 2 years ago. Listened to exactly what I wanted even though I wasn’t very good at explaining it and turned it into exactly what I was looking for. Great location and skilled gents!
2 months agoGreat haircuts for the whole family in a clean and tidy shop with great hospitality! I got a haircut and beard trim, and I was very happy with the results. The barber was friendly and knowledgeable, and he took the time to understand what I wanted. The haircut was perfect, and the beard trim was exactly what I was looking for. My 13-year-old son also had a haircut, and he was very happy with the results. The barber gave him a simple trim, and he made sure that it was even all around. My 10-year-old son also had a haircut, and he was very happy with the results. The barber gave him a short back and sides, and he made sure that it was neat and tidy. I would definitely recommend Beards & Shears Barbers to anyone looking for a great haircut or beard trim in London Bridge. The barbers are friendly and knowledgeable, and they take the time to get it right. The shop is also very clean and tidy, and the barbers wear masks and gloves to ensure the safety of their customers. In addition to the great haircuts, I was also impressed by the hospitality they showed us. They offered us any cold drinks we wanted, and a cold water was a great compliment after a long tiring day. Here are some additional details about my experience: :: The barber took the time to understand my hair type and what I wanted in a haircut. :: He gave me a few different options to choose from, and he was happy to make changes to the haircut until I was happy with it. :: The beard trim was perfect. He trimmed my beard evenly, and he cleaned up the edges. The barber was friendly and welcoming, and he made me feel comfortable during my haircut. :: The barbers were also very patient with my boys, and they made sure that they were happy with their haircuts. :: The shop was very clean and tidy, and the barbers wore masks and gloves to ensure the safety of their customers. :: The staff were very hospitable and offered us any cold drinks we wanted.
